Each 2nd grade class is participating in educator-led tours of cityscapes at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Some classes went last week; the rest are scheduled for tomorrow and Friday.
Each 90-minute gallery tour focuses on a few select images of New York City. The kids are encouraged, through storytelling, drawing and in-depth discussion and observation, to think about the decisions artists make when representing a place in art.
