DoE Publishes Citywide 2008 Learning Environment Survey Report

The DoE this week published the citywide results 2008 Learning Environment Survey. Though results are generally positive, three out of four middle- and high-school students say they did not participate in any art activities during or after school!

Save the Date! Saturday, August 9th, City Council "Cybersmarts Summit"

Save the Date! On Saturday, August 9th, the City Council will host "Cybersmarts Summit 2008: Keeping NYC Kids Safe Online." The Council is partnering with the Department of Education, Microsoft, Google, Symantec, and others for this educational event aimed at youth, parents, and educators. The summit will be held at City Hall (exact time to be determined) and is free and open to the public.
