PTA Provides Home-Cooked Dinner for Teachers for Parent-Teacher Conference Day


The PTA traditionally hosts meals for teachers on our parent-teacher conference days. This evening's meal was no exception - only this time the feast for 55 staff members was entirely home-cooked by PTA co-president Nina Chan Jalowayski.

The Menu:

Appetizers
Hummus with Pita Bread
Pan-fried Onion Dip with Crackers

Vegetarian Entree
Roasted Pasta alla Norma
Cavatappi pasta with roasted eggplant, grape tomatoes and garlic topped with creamy milk ricotta cheese

Non-Vegetarian Entree
Old-Fashioned Turkey Meatloaf served with Parmesan Smashed Potatoes

Sides
Sugar Snap Peas with Sesame
Raddichio and Endive Salad
Roasted Cauliflower and Carrots
Dinner Rolls

Dessert
Hand-rolled Chocolate Truffles

Parent -Teacher Conferences Are Thursday; Open School Week Begins Tomorrow

Tomorrow marks the start of Open School Week. This is a great opportunity to see first-hand what takes place in your child's classroom. Parents and care givers are welcome to visit throughout this week, Monday-Friday, during regular school hours. Please be prepared to sign in at the front security desk, with your photo ID.

Thursday, November 20th is Parent-Teacher Conference Day. Please note this is a half day, with an 11:50 AM dismissal. If you have not yet signed up for a conference time slot, please get in touch with your child's teacher.
