Caffeine with a Conscience - Place Your Pre-Holiday Orders for Coffee, Tea and Chocolate Direct from Just Coffee!

Our new coffee shipment is here just in time for the chilly fall weather! Please place your pre-holiday orders for coffee, tea and chocolate! The PS 29 PTA purchases from Just Coffee, a coffee grower cooperative based in Salvador Urbina, Chiapas, Mexico, with facilities in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico and Douglas, Arizona.

Please click and print the form below, enclose with a check made out to PS 29 PTA, and return via backpack mail to your child's classroom or place in the PTA mailbox in the main office. Please indicate your name, child, and child's classroom. DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY,  NOVEMBER 14TH to receive delivery in time for the holidays! This is great coffee, tea and chocolate - and wonderful gifts! If you are sending in cash, your child's classroom teacher must give the envelope, addressed to the PTA, to Maureen or Maria in the front office. Please do not leave cash in the PTA mail box.

Just Coffee is an organic, shade-tree, high-mountain, pure, fresh-roasted Arabica coffee that is grown, harvested and marketed in a spirit of justice and fair trade. Just Coffee members are from the growing community in Salvador Urbina Chiapas, Mexico and from the US. 
The idea behind Just Coffee is to address one of the root causes of labor migration from Mexico to the US. Just Coffee's business model is simple and optimizes profit for the growers. The coffee is harvested, cleaned and prepared for shipping as green beans, (what is called "oro" - gold) from the very southern tip of Mexico in Salvador Urbina Chiapas, to the far northern frontier of Mexico in Agua Prieta, Sonora. In Agua Prieta, they roast, 

grind and package the coffee in small, air-tight bags for crossing over into Douglas, Arizona and is then shipped to our customers. The goal is to develop a Chiapan-owned company providing 

viable economic incentives for young and old to remain on family lands. The coffee-growing agri-business environment is currently desperate for many farmers, and, at PS 29, we seek to provide parents and friends with caffeine with a conscience.
