A grand total of $625 was raised by the Benefit Bake Sale for the The Bridge Fund Sichuan Earthquake Compassion Fund, held at Saturday's rummage sale and in front of school at pickup today.
For the sale, Nina Jalowayski baked varying batches of 16 (yes, 16!) different desserts: Brownies/Cakes: Salted Fudge Brownies, Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting, Orange Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting; Cookies: Caramel Cream Sandwich, Chocolate Chunk, Cranberry Oatmeal Walnut, Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti, Double Chocolate Chunk, Old Fashioned Chewy Molasses, Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jam Bars; and Quick Breads: Apple Pecan; Banana; Coconut; Pumpkin. Marika Leonard donated a batch of brownies; Jane Heaphy made a chocolate chip cake (and lent the life-saving tent); and Susanna Yerman made banana bread, M&M cookies and chocolate cupcakes!!!
